Andja Bukorovic
Speech pathologist

Andja is an experienced speech pathologist and writer who is passionate about supporting the communication skills of children and adolescents. She is registered with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and has a Masters in Speech Language Pathology (MSLP) from the University of Sydney. She is also trained in using LAMP Words For Life (LAMP WFL).

Having grown up in South-West Sydney, Andja founded Family Learning to support the communication skills of children within her local community. Her speech pathology practice focuses on:

• working with families to support their children’s communication skills

• setting meaningful and important communication goals

• engaging children by understanding their interests.

Andja’s speech pathology sessions are play-based and fun. She uses music, singing and creative activities to engage children in learning. She takes the time to provide clear and easy-to-understand information to parents so they can practice the activities at home to help their child learn.

• Early intervention (0-5 years)

• Primary school-aged children (5-12 years)

• Autism spectrum disorder

• Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

• Hearing loss

• Parent coaching

Andja also has a background in writing. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Creative Writing) and worked as a copywriter at NESA developing the new NSW Curriculum. She is also a trained singer and musician and uses these skills in her therapy sessions.
